How did you come to work for DEXIS?
I have been a dental assistant for over 17 years. About 10 years ago, a friend who was a representative for Dentrix, asked me if I would like to instruct offices how to use their imaging software. I loved it, and later even taught courses to newly hired instructors. When our office switched to DEXIS, I was asked if I would like to become an instructorit is such a great system, how could I say no?
What is your on the job philosophy?
I was taught by my Dad to work hard, and when Im at work to give my employer 100% of myself. That translates into giving my best to each customer. And basically, I love what I doit makes everything easier to accomplish.
What is your greatest accomplishment, professional and personal?
Professionally, I was instrumental in starting a charity foundation called Share A Smile and its dental clinic for the homeless in Utah County. Giving smiles to those that have so little was the greatest work I have ever done. Personally, its being married to my wonderful husband, and
being part of a loving familyIm not sure if this is my greatest accomplishment or just my greatest blessing!
What are your hobbies?
I love to camp in the San Juan Islands with my husband. I like reading, cooking, swimming and painting with water colors. My Grandpa was a beekeeper, and I loved learning all about his hobby. I have had my own bees and take pleasure in watching them, and I especially enjoy the fresh honey.
